EFAFLEX, the class leading high- speed door manufacturer will be returning once again to exhibit their high-speed industrial doors at Foodex 2018.

EFAFLEX are no strangers to the food processing, packaging and logistics industry having designed, manufactured, installed and maintained energy saving doors for over 40 years. They have completed thousands of installations with a client base spanning across 50 countries and 5 continents, many within the food related supply chain.

Darren Turrell, Managing Director for EFAFLEX UK explained, ‘Foodex is an ideal exhibition for us. It’s an opportunity to meet existing customers who are already aware of the cost saving, performance and safety merits of our high-speed doors and also mingle with prospective clients too. We will be demonstrating three of our door options, each of which has specific and unique benefits to the Foodex visitors. It’s so important to us that people can see first-hand the speed with which the doors open. Saying ‘4 meters per second’ might not sound that fast, but seeing it in action is impressive even to me after years of installations. Plus we want visitors to experience the feel of the door quality and then they can begin to understand how our doors can perform 250,000 operating cycles per year.’

Door speed aside, there are many unique features which have been developed to make EFAFLEX ideal for the processing, packaging and logistics sector. They are the only company to offer the first truly single leaf door solution for deep freeze areas. This provides exceptional door operating speeds and also the best insulation values for spiral doors, meaning a potential saving of 50% on heating costs when compared with other door solutions. This unique design enables heat transfer coefficients of as low as 0.62W/m2K in operational temperatures between +30ºC and -30ºC making it ideal for cold stores and loading areas.

Turrell went on, ‘It’s a delicate balancing act for chilled and frozen food processors; that of maintaining consistent temperatures, air purity, reducing the impact on ambient areas whilst of course maintaining productivity. Our high-speed doors are designed with the consumer in mind; innovative designs that are built to last, minimise costly downtime and focus on operator safety.’

Many of the UK’s supermarket food processing and supply chain partners are becoming increasingly familiar with the benefits that EFAFLEX brings. They are the only company in the world to specialise in the design and manufacture of high speed doors for industrial and commercial applications. Their in-house deign talent and head office facility based in Bruckberg, Bavaria employs generations of families that share the same passion to continually push the boundaries of product innovation. The patented S Series featuring its unique spiral design remains the unrivalled champion of speed; the world’s fastest vertically opening door.

Turrell summarized by stating, ‘Reducing energy costs are fundamental to businesses operating within the food industry, but movement of produce is essential. Considering proper insulation of buildings and effective cooling systems go so far, but goods in and out means unavoidable door openings. With our help, clients can create constant refrigeration in cold storage areas. With the benefit of fast opening door blade speeds of up to 2 meters per second, heat loss and energy costs are minimised. ’

EFAFLEX will be showcasing a range of door options on their stand Y271 including the SST-TK deep freeze door and the STT high-speed turbo door. Knowledgeable Project Managers will be on hand to demonstrate the product’s unique benefits and offer advice on how EFAFLEX doors can reduce energy costs and increase productivity.

Find out for yourself why EFAFLEX is quickly becoming the door of choice for food industry professionals by visiting Foodex. It is free to attend, runs from 16th – 18th April and gives access to five shows under one roof; bringing over 1,200 suppliers in one exhibition centre.
